THE FỌUNDER

Passionate about fashion accessories and DIY
since my early childhood, I've always enjoyed doing manual work and creating various items. Having always chosen to live on the fringes of society and horrified by the standardisation of fashion, I've always loved creating as many unique pieces as I could using fabrics and other
materials that came my way. Over time, I've developed a definite love of accessories, because for me they provide the 'differentiating' touch to clothes and make a bolder style statement.

The confinement of the world in 2020 will give us all more time to explore our lives, our passions, etc. in short, all the things we used to put off until tomorrow without necessarily being able to do. I took advantage of this period to develop a better knowledge of this field that I was passionate about and matured the project. It was now clear to me that the market and the period were favourable, because beyond a simple fashion brand, the ambition was to create a strong, original, contemporary brand that was resolutely rooted in an unparalleled historical approach. 2021 was the year of the official creation.

More than just a brand name, it was a question of finding a name that carried strong values and whose evocation is a symbol of belonging to a unique, quality
community. Drawn from my paternal Yoruba origins, the word "ỌGÁ", frequently used as a form of address to designate a person of power and influence, seemed an obvious choice. Mostly used for men, it can also be used for women at the top.

Welcome into our clan!

Olavi, founder and creative mind

Adinkrahene

The basis of our logo is the adinkra symbol
"Adinkrahene". The symbol is considered to
be the "chief of adinkra symbols". It
represents charisma, authority and
leadership.

While being a contemporary brand, we
remain connected to our continent of
origin in every way possible.
As the egyptian civilisation was one of the
most important in the history of the world,
we decided to use ancient Egyptian
numbers to represent our year of creation:
2021

DENKYEM

Meaning crocodile, this adinkra symbolises
adaptability, ingenuity and cleverness.

NSAA

Originally a type of hand-woven cloth, it is
a symbol of excellence, genuineness and
authenticity.

BESE SAKA

From the ancient Adinkra language, this
symbol represents affluence, unity, power
and abundance

AKOFENA

This symbol literally represents "sword of
war".
It features two crossed swords and
usually represents courage and valour. It
can also symbolise a legitimate state of
authority
